As part of my work in the non-profit sector, I had the opportunity to create an innovative educational tool called "Stroke Heroes" designed to teach elementary school children about strokes. Aimed at 4th graders, this comic book provided essential knowledge on recognizing and responding to stroke symptoms in an engaging and accessible manner. The project included a quiz and a certificate at the end, ensuring the kids not only learned critical information but also retained it effectively. At the end of the day, stroke statistically attacks each household, and this initiative empowered young students with the ability to act swiftly and confidently in emergency situations, potentially saving lives and giving kids the chance to learn how to be a hero in their very own house.
